I guess I am just technologically challenged. This whole blogging thing intimidates me. It seems that is the way things are these days with all of the new developments in gadgets we have to learn new things.

Quilting however is a peaceful link to the past. As I quilt I imagine the homesteading mothers working their needles to sew together quilts to keep their families warm, working with whatever scraps that they had to create something from nothing.

What I am working on these days is a quilt for a client of DH. DH is a personal injury attorney who represents people who have been in catastrophic accidents. If there are injuries to someone due to an explosion, car crash, crane topple down or big rig smash he is the guy that you would call to represent you. Anyway, there is a client of his who is recovering from a bad crash so I am making a quilt for her. I just finished quilting it and sewing on the binding so once I finish with knotting all of the starts and stops I can wash it and it can be sent on its way to give comfort. The quilt is Warm Wishes which is one of my favorite patterns for a quick quilt to make. Isn't it neat how they look so different depending on the fabric choices? I'll post a picture of it once it is finished and washed.

These are two quilts that I made last week, again for some clients of DH. The first is a Bright Hopes which is for an 11 year old girl and the one on the left is a Matching Quilt made for her 2 year old sister. This one I saw in a a quilting magazine and really liked the idea. 49 pairs of 4.5 inch cut measurement squares are used along with the 1.5 inch sashing in the center. The idea is to try to find the matching square.
